Job Description
FOOD and BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR
MISSION
Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in all duties and responsibilities. Assume all managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager. Help coordinate the foodservice activities of the Restaurant, Bar and Deli. Assist in purchasing and inventorying F&B supplies, equipment, and food and beverages. Ensure all Food & Beverage outlets meet all cleanliness and safety standards. Assist in the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of staff members. Assist in developing marketing strategies, and implement advertising and promotional campaigns to increase business. Review financial transactions and monitor budget to ensure efficient operations and to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations.

Bartenders, Servers, Server Assistants, Greeters, Deli/Baristas and Poolside Staff (Seasonal)
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Assist with staff hiring, supervision, scheduling, training and development
- Ensure all LSI HR policies and employment practices are followed in banquet and F&B departments
- Assist with purchasing produce, meats, poultry, fish and seafood, supplies, beverages, and equipment
- Assist in receiving and checking all F&B orders to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Help supervise inventories
- Help supervise the cleaning and maintenance of F&B facilities and equipment
- Assist in investigating and resolving any food quality or service complaints
- Regularly inspect all F&B outlets and storage areas to ensure that health and safety regulations are met
- Assist in monitoring F&B budgets and controlling labor and food/beverage costs
- Stay informed of and communicate special requests or last-minute changes that will affect either the food production or service for an event
- Maintain knowledge of local competition and general industry trends
- Be knowledgeable about the duties and responsibilities of all F&B positions; be able to fill in wherever and whenever needed
- Solicit feedback from customers on a regular basis
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings for the F&B team
- Supervise the restaurant floor during peak times to ensure guest satisfaction and staff support
- Other responsibilities or projects as assigned by the Director of Food and Beverage
