SPA RECEPTION
MISSION
To create great first and last impressions for members and guests utilizing or inquiring about spa, and to control access to the spa. Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and handle them professionally. Be aggressively hospitable to members and guests as they enter and exit the spa, and use names at every opportunity. Promote and handle the sale of spa products and services. Enforce all club policies relating to the spa. Operate the appointment book system, and assist the Spa Manager and other staff in administrative duties and projects as requested. Stay informed of current specials and marketing promotions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enthusiastically greet members and guests as they enter the spa; smile and use names often
- Set or confirm appointments; notify staff of client’s arrival
- Offer a parting wish to all members and guests as they exit the spa
- Handle spa appointments and cancellations accurately; be sure service staff is notified of any same-day changes
- Handle point of sale transactions for products and services; properly collect and record fees and charges
- Promote the spa products and services; assist clients through suggestive selling and serve as a resource for those with questions about spa services and products
- Keep the spa desk, lobby area and retail area neat, clean and uncluttered
- Know and understand all Member Service and Facility Walkthrough and Core Value Quick Check standards as they apply to the spa; ensure they are followed
- Answer all incoming telephone calls; forward calls professionally and efficiently; take accurate messages as needed
- Promote club events and programs to clients as they check in or out
- Assist with administrative duties such as mailings, telephone campaigns, etc.
- Check the changing rooms periodically to ensure an adequate supply of towels, robes, toiletry amenities, etc.
- Other responsibilities or projects as assigned by the Spa Manager
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates, with or without reasonable accommodations, must be able to:
- Write, speak, read, hear and see
- Stand for prolonged periods
- Type and operate a computer
- Perform cash register operation
- Bend and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Fold and carry stacks of towels and robes
- Perform light telephone work
