Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Mutual Services.
Full Time position - 40 hours per week.
Pay rate: $25.00 per hour based on experience.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

The ideal candidate will have two (2) or more years of experience providing administrative support services.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)-Required.
Leisure World of Maryland Corporation, the property management company for Leisure World of Maryland, is a private, age restricted community comprised of 29 community associations representing over 5,600 homes and extensive Trust operations located in Silver Spring, Maryland is seeking a full time Administrative Assistant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES:
Mutual(s) Administrative Support
- Assists President of the Board of Director or his/her designee to prepare agenda and relevant material for Regular, Special, and Annual meetings
- Attends meetings and prepares, transcribes, reproduces, and distributes meeting minutes
- Maintains current files on all minutes and resolutions
- Prepares and/or reproduces newsletters, correspondences and special project materials for Mutual Boards and their committees as assigned
- Maintains mutual files and resident master files
- Maintains current records of Mutual Membership and processes Membership certificates where applicable
- Keeps all governing documents current, including all Bylaw amendments.
- Works with Accountants for timely payment of invoices
- Liaison to Board of Directors for all departments
- All other duties as assigned.
General Administrative Support:
- Drafts/composes routine correspondences for review by Senior Property Manager and/or President of Board.
- Follows up on "Action Items" from all meetings
- Research materials as requested by Management and Board of Directors.
- Assists with the reception area as required
- Upload documents regularly to various software systems
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel or comparable software.
- Ability to consistently provide a high level of accurate work delivered in a timely manner.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments.
- Ability to identify and respond to customer needs in a courteous manner.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing.
- Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedure.
PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
In addition to the Leisure World of Maryland Corporation (LWMC) staff and contract personnel, the Mutual Assistant's principal working relationships are members of the LWCC Board of Directors (including Board Committee), Mutual Board of Directors, and the community residents.
