Key Responsibilities
Workforce planning & talent acquisition
- Evaluate staffing needs and work with leaders on staffing plans
- Create and revise job descriptions
- Strategize searches (promotion, screening) and advise on candidate selection
- For select positions, directly run the search process
- Manage the employee appraisal system, including identifying success indicators and measurement means
- Advise supervisors on addressing employee performance gaps, including development and management of performance improvement plans; partner with supervisors on performance development conversations
- Partner with leaders on employee experience, team performance development and training needs
- Manage new hire orientation
- Support HR colleagues and other leaders with the development, optimization and management of all compliance systems related to employee requirements
- In partnership with the Director of HR, develop and revise policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HR law and best practice
- Conduct compensation analysis looking externally at LEL’s compensation compared to the market, and internally at alignment and equity
- Partner with HR team members on the development, promotion and delivery of benefits programs
- Manage ADA, FMLA and Worker's Comp matters in partnership with the Director of HR
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, experience and outcomes through technology
- Implement advancements in current use of technology
- As needed, research, recommend and support the introduction of new technology systems/apps/programs
- Maintain knowledge of HR-related federal, state and local rules and regulations, as well as best practices; serve as a key subject-matter expert for the team
- Participate in company-wide events
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree required
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience
- Skilled with establishing rapport and developing relationships
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
- Proven experience using data to identify opportunities and build performance
- Proven experience leading change
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- While not required, Spanish fluency is highly desired

Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
