POSITION TITLE
Food Service Aide
SUMMARY
To provide assistance in all food service functions as directed and in accordance with established food service policies and procedures.
SUPERVISOR
Director of Food Service
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
- Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, which include but not limited to worktables, refrigerators / freezers, floors, carts, trays
- Perform dishwashing procedures. Assure utensils, plates, bowls, trays, etc. are readily available for the next meal.
- Assist in serving meals to residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Report signs of poor intake to maintain proper nutrition and hydration levels.
- Maintain a safe work environment and exhibit safe work practices.
- Participate in training of new personnel.
- Exhibit knowledge of and effectively follow the emergency and disaster plans.
- Interact cooperatively with residents, families, visitors and co-workers.
- Attend all required education training programs monthly.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents, family, employee and facility information.
- Accountable for information contained in the employee handbook.
- Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner and performs other duties as requested by Administrator or Director of Food Service
REQUIREMENTS
I have read and understand the Food Service Aide Description. I am able to perform the identified responsibilities.
I understand the first 90 days of employment are probationary. Furthermore, I understand that during this probationary period employment may be terminated related to job performance and or attendance.
