Key Performance Objectives in order of priority include:
Team Leadership. Leads the development of a high performing team that consistently delivers exceptional performance outcomes.
Financial Reporting. Provides timely and accurate financial reports to assist in on time submission of monthly financials and informed decision making.
Month End. Implements and enforces a closing process that adheres to established deadlines. Responsible for all front-end reporting to facilitate closing checklist. Monitors progress and accuracy of all journal entries.
Accounts Receivable. Ensures proper procedures are in place for timely and accurate recording and deposit of cash receipts.
Accounts Payable. Ensure proper procedures are in place for timely and accurate recording of vendor invoices and payments.
Compliance. Manages sales tax return processes and collection of financial data to ensure compliance with all reporting requirements for government agencies and banking relationships.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in accounting (warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred) – at least one year of accounting management experience preferred.
- Must have excellent financial analysis capabilities and the ability to communicate complex financial issues in simple, understandable terms and have strong general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Financial Statements and Analytical Skills

- Experience in financial analysis and reporting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently on routine tasks and duties.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel & Word, Windows based computers, accounting-oriented software and the use of the internet.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
