In order to reach its ambitious business development target driven by the macro trends in E-Mobility, green energy generation and distribution among others, LEM is looking to strengthen its team with a Distribution Coordinator. This role will have responsibility to manage inbound and outbound distribution flows at the LEM Milwaukee site and the third-party bonded warehouse, in accordance with the global strategy identified by LEM Group. Through efficient distribution management, the incumbent shall strengthen LEM’s competitive position by defining the local site supply chain improvement and by participating in the corporate strategy definition & deployment.
For operations, the Distribution Coordinator will be the interface between sales and operations, and as an escalation point, if needed. This position will report to the General Manager and will have a dotted line reporting to the Global Supply Chain Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth communication with production and distribution with the target of improving product availability for customers.
- Must actively use MRP (Microsoft Dynamics) to:
- Raise purchase orders to production centers on a timely manner.
- Ensure the inventory policy for the local site for finished goods.
- Ensure keeping the right safety stock level to deliver to customers on time.
- Participate in new product launching to establish the flows.
- Ensure master data maintenance for the portfolio.
- May help with stocking, storing, labeling, casing, packing and distributing all materials and supplies.
- May help the team with the physical receipt, checking and storage of delivered materials into the warehouse; performs inventory of warehouse materials.
- Manage the exception and communication to sales and customers.
- Manage prioritization of sales orders with regional manager, in case of allocation.
- Report KPI’s and improvements to the reporting lines.
- Ensure that processes and guidelines are followed by the team. In case, of gaps, being able to make proposal for changes to hierarchy.
- Be the interface among the global departments, for all topics that are linked to the distribution
- Ideally 50% of time assisting the warehouse directly, 50% of time spent on indirect tasks (logistics, demand planning, reporting, communication, etc.)

Requirements:
- Possess at least 5 years of experience in demand planning and warehouse operations.
- Possess lean capabilities on problem solving and value stream mapping.
- Experienced in international trade, incoterms & customs.
- Possess good understanding of ERP functionalities and being able to standardize processes, with good project management skills.
- Team worker with excellent communication skills.
- Good business sense and high customer orientation.
- Being able to manage stress and conflicts.
- Comfortable with leading change.
- Reliable & able to maintain commitments.
- Strategic thinking.
- Forklift driver license is preferred but not required.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
