What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tissue Processing Circulator position at LeMaitre?
Overview
General Purpose of the Job:
Work within an organized fast-paced team in our Fox River Grove, IL facility as a circulator. Documentation of prepared paperwork. Decontamination/sterilization of surgical insturments, preparation and breakdown of surgical suites. Office duties as needed, inventory of supplies. Accurate organization of donor chart. Distribution documentation when required.
Responsibilities
- Must adhere to Good Tissue Practices established by FDA 1271 part 20, AATB and company procedures and policies.
- Receive tissues from recovery agencies and check in tissue according to protocol. Follow proper labeling controls for labeling tissue proper documentation according to protocol.
- Prepare sterile field, present sterile products to processors and proper documentation required for processing and cryopreservation of tissue. Proper gloving and gowning and aseptic processing.
- Preparing antibiotic solution and cryopreservation solutions for processing as per protocol.
- Proper decontamination of processing suites and final packaging suites according to company policy.
- Sterilization of surgical instruments used in processing including decontamination, use of sterilization equipment and proper sterilization techniques and documentation.
- Construction of donor record chart according to protocol.
- Proper disposal of hazardous waste.
- CTBS a plus, Required within 3 years of hire
- Detail driven
- Team player/ self motivated / organized multi-tasker
- Will work on the weekends as well as rotating holidays
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, College Degree a plus
- Computer skills and knowledge required
- Medical knowledge is a plus, but not required
