Reports to : Preschool Director and Assistant Director.

General Job Description
Responsible for instructing scholars using the classical model of learning combined with data-driven decision-making. Will assist the Preschool Director with open and or closing responsibilities. Will create daily age-appropriate lesson plans, participate in ongoing professional training sessions, meet with the Directors for instructional planning based on assessment data, and work with grade level teams of teachers to collaboratively plan and also form common unit assessments.
Qualifications / Minimum Requirements :
- A teacher-caregiver is 18 years of age or older and provides the licensee with documentation of one of the following :
- Six months of child care experience and : i. A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma; or ii. At least 12 credit hours from an accredited college or university, including at least six credit hours in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field;
- Associate or bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field; or
- N.A.C., C.D.A., or C.C.P. credential
- AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card / Background and Criminal History Clearance.
- At least 21 years of age.
- CPR / First Aid certification.
- Food Handlers Card.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Current TB test : TB test must be within a twelve month period of start date or a new test is
- required.
- Attend eighteen hours of annual training.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that meets minimum
- requirements.
- Working Knowledge of child care regulations and safety practices.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to positively impact the school
- community with an ability to build strong relationships.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with scholars, parents, co-workers, vendors
- and build relationships.
- Strong commitment to providing leadership in promoting health and safety, including a healthy
- environment.
- Ability to operate office equipment as required on assignment; i.e. fax machine, copier, computer,
- etc.
- Ability to lift boxes and packages of varying weights and move them to other locations.
