Overview
The Materials Receiver accurately and efficiently checks-in, counts, and verifies inbound shipments of products following IRMS and WHQS-20.
The Materials Receiver’s work areas may include fixed, stand-up, desktop stations for small-package receiving or remote (portable) stations for large freight shipments. The Material receiver’s equipment includes a hand-held scanning device (2 lbs.) either worn on a shoulder strap or in a holster, box cutters, writing instruments, and a variety of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, two-wheelers and powered lift equipment.
Essential Functions
- Receives daily truck and/or UPS shipments following proper procedures of quality and quantity control
- Gathers documentation according to warehouse and IRMS requirements maintaining strict records for filling
- Escalates problems and unaccounted shipments to lead person for proper handling maintaining required timeframes and following proper communication channels
- Signs all required documents according to guidelines
- Maintains orderly housekeeping of assigned area
- Adheres to all company safety rules and regulations
Non-essential functions
- Cover for other positions as needed
Required Qualifications and Education
- 1 year experience in warehouse/manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic mathematical skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good time management skills
