JOB DESCRIPTION
Shift
Monday - Friday until January then Sunday - Thursday
Overview
The Packer Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently pack parts for customer orders in preparation for shipping.
Essential Functions
- Checks product on totes for accuracy, ensuring all parts designated for that specific tote are present
- Utilizes Blue Light procedure for missing or incorrect product
- Knows rules involved when packing ORMD and hazardous materials including when to affix identity labels or placards
- Executes all steps involved in packing product: selects appropriate box size; inserts product; packing slip, and master invoice; affixes shipping label and/or placards; and places carton on shipping conveyor.
- Maintains orderly housekeeping of assigned area
- Adheres to all company safety rules and regulations.
- Other tasks as assigned and/or needed
Non-essential functions
- Cover other positions as needed
Required Qualifications and Education
- 1 year experience in warehouse/manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to work well in a team
- Good mathematics skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good time management skills
