We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. If you are passionate about building and maintaining AWS Cloud Infrastructure to match scalability, security and cost-efficiency goals, have a deep understanding of Continuous Delivery practices, and are excited about creating self-service Cloud Platform for engineers, we want to hear from you!

Job Description & Responsibilities
Cloud Engineering:
- Design, document and implement Cloud platform enhancements.
- Make sure all changes done to Cloud infrastructure are auditable, reproducible and revertable.
- Strive for cost-efficiency and simplicity over latest innovation.
- Follow operational requirements and legislations for a global FinTech provider (DORA, GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO, SOC2 etc).
- Contribute to Internal Development Platform, API Management, CI/CD tooling.
- Stay updated on AWS updates and ways to improve our cloud infrastructure.
Site Reliability Engineering:
- Enhance observability set-up including logging, monitoring, alerting and tracing.
- Continuously monitor deployed services performance and work with engineers to optimize for speed and responsiveness.
- Work on implementation of disaster recovery and change deployment practices, which fulfill defined Service Level Objectives of reliability and availability.
- Participate in the Incident Response taskforce as a responder for infrastructural issues.
Ownership and Collaboration:
- Take full ownership of deliverables, from development to production release and beyond.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, security and other relevant stakeholders to fulfill company goals.
- Liaise with external vendors to find more optimal solutions to utilise their offerings.
- Mentor and direct junior specialists, fostering a culture of learning, improvement and excellence.
Qualifications
- 5 years of professional experience in System Administration, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Deep knowledge of Infrastructure as a Code, with hands-on experience in Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of AWS architecture components (ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, Networking, etc), and design patterns.
- Familiarity with containers (Docker) and how to operate those.
- Solid understanding of security concepts, including encryption, key management, and authentication mechanisms.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions. ArgoCD etc).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- High sense of ownership and accountability for delivering top-quality work.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Knowledge of message queuing and event streaming (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- NewRelic observability tool knowledge
- AWS Certification
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
