Dietitian
Key Responsibilities: Accountable for ensuring the quality of nutritional care provided to both inpatients and outpatients. Conducts nutritional assessments and evaluations, offering dietary recommendations based on findings. Provides counseling and educational guidance to patients. Designs and oversees nutrition care plans, adjusting and monitoring them as necessary. Implements nutrition therapy orders and ensures their proper execution. Observes and evaluates patient adherence to, acceptance of, and tolerance for prescribed nutrition therapy. Regularly reassesses and updates nutrition care plans. Oversees the planning and management of the nutrition office.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory.
- Must hold a current, valid, and active license and/or certification to practice as a Registered Dietitian in the respective state.
- Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required.
- At least two (2) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting is required.
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
- Preferred knowledge of contemporary dietetics principles and practices.
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards relevant to hospital food services is a plus.
- Ability to always maintain a professional demeanor.
- Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong skills in organization, prioritization, and analysis.
- Ability to make sound independent decisions when necessary.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software relevant to job duties.
