Job Summary:
As a Healthcare Hostess at Lemontree Healthcare, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive exceptional food service in a comfortable, caring environment. This role involves delivering nutritious and appetizing meals to patients, catering to their dietary preferences and restrictions, and supporting a positive overall experience during their stay at Lemontree Healthcare. You will also serve as a key communication link between patients, visitors, and the food service team.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Meal Service:
- Greet patients and provide friendly, empathetic service to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Deliver meals to patients in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring proper food temperature and presentation.
- Ensure that patients' dietary preferences, restrictions, and special requests are communicated to the kitchen and met as requested.
Communication and Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between patients and the kitchen staff to ensure that all meal-related needs are addressed promptly.
- Monitor patient food preferences, allergies, and dietary restrictions, ensuring accurate and updated information is communicated.
- Relay important patient meal information to the nursing and dietary teams, keeping everyone informed of any changes in patient preferences or needs.
Meal Preparation and Setup:
- Assist with meal tray preparation, ensuring that trays are correctly assembled with the correct food items based on individual patient orders.
- Set up dining areas and ensure that patients are comfortable while dining.
- Ensure that meal trays are cleared promptly and that dining areas remain clean and orderly.
Patient Interaction and Support:
- Offer assistance to patients with special needs, such as adjusting meal settings or assisting with opening food packaging.
- Answer questions related to meal options and provide support to patients and family members when needed.
Room and Facility Maintenance:
- Ensure that patient rooms and dining areas are maintained clean and sanitary, adhering to infection control standards.
- Assist with maintaining stock of food service supplies and report any inventory shortages.
Administrative and Recordkeeping:
- Maintain accurate records of patient food preferences, meal deliveries, and special requests.
- Provide feedback and reports to the Food Service Manager regarding patient satisfaction and any concerns related to meals or dining experiences.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a food service, healthcare, or customer service role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Familiarity with dietary restrictions and special meal requirements is a plus.
Core Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills and a compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances within the healthcare facility.
