Security Services Director
Position Overview:
Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Services Director to lead and oversee all aspects of security operations across our healthcare facilities. This critical role will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies, managing a team of security personnel, and ensuring the safety and security of our staff, patients, and visitors. The Security Services Director will work closely with senior leadership to foster a secure environment that supports the organization’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead and manage the security team, including hiring, training, performance management, and scheduling.
- Provide guidance and oversight to security staff, ensuring high levels of professionalism, compliance, and customer service.
- Develop and implement security protocols and procedures in line with healthcare standards and best practices.

Security Strategy Development:
- Assess current security risks and vulnerabilities across all Lemontree Healthcare facilities and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Create and update security policies and procedures, ensuring they align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement proactive measures to prevent and respond to security incidents, including workplace violence, theft, and emergencies.

Emergency Response & Crisis Management:
- Coordinate emergency response plans and ensure security personnel are trained to handle various emergency situations.
- Act as the lead in crisis management situations, working with other departments to manage and resolve security threats.

Collaboration & Reporting:
- Collaborate with various departments (HR, Operations, Facilities Management, etc.) to ensure seamless security operations.
- Prepare regular reports on security activities, incidents, and improvements for senior management.
- Maintain effective communication with law enforcement and other external agencies as needed.

Compliance & Training:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to healthcare security.
- Design and conduct regular security training programs for staff to ensure awareness of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and workplace safety.

Budget Management:
- Manage the security department’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies and equipment that enhance safety while being cost-effective.
Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in security management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or director role.
- Prior experience in healthcare or healthcare-related security operations is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of security systems, risk management, and healthcare-specific security needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Strong decision-making abilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations.
- Proficiency in security technologies, including surveillance systems, access control systems, and emergency response tools.

Certifications:
- Certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Healthcare Security and Safety Specialist (CHSS) are preferred but not required.
- CPR, First Aid, and other emergency response certifications are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, and respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
