Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail outlets within the healthcare facility. This includes managing a variety of retail options such as cafes, kiosks, or shops serving patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, a focus on customer service, and experience in retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of retail services to ensure efficient and effective functioning of all outlets.
- Ensure that all retail spaces are clean, well-organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services.
2. Staff Management:
- Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate retail staff.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development to maintain high employee performance and morale.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability.
3. Customer Service Excellence:
- Monitor and address customer feedback to ensure a positive shopping experience for all patrons.
- Resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain a welcoming and accessible retail environment that serves the needs of all guests.
4. Inventory and Financial Management:
- Oversee inventory control, ordering, and stock management to ensure sufficient product availability while minimizing waste.
- Maintain budgetary control, track expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives as needed.
- Monitor retail sales performance and implement strategies to optimize profitability.
5. Product Selection and Display:
- Work with purchasing and merchandising teams to develop product offerings that meet customer needs and preferences.
- Ensure all products are properly displayed, and create visually appealing merchandising layouts.
- Implement promotions and seasonal displays to attract customer interest.
6. Compliance and Safety Standards:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and retail regulations, including product handling, storage, and health standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain operational compliance.
- Prepare for and manage inspections or audits related to retail operations.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar service environment.
- Proven experience in managing a team and optimizing retail performance.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and customer service excellence.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and cost control.
- In-depth knowledge of retail operations, sales strategies, and inventory management.
- Ability to work well under pressure and resolve issues quickly.
- Proficient in administrative and office technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
Work Conditions:
- Full-time position, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and handle physically demanding tasks as required by the role.
