Position Summary
As an HVAC Regional Sales Manager, you will manage and grow the HVAC installation sales team, ensuring revenue and gross profit targets are met. Youll lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, implement effective sales strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to drive success.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Sales Managers, Comfort Advisors, and Sales Coordinators to achieve sales goals.
- Establish performance expectations, conduct regular coaching, and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster collaboration between sales, service, and installation teams to enhance customer experience and efficiency.
Sales Growth & Strategy Execution:
- Develop and implement sales plans to achieve revenue and gross profit targets across multiple locations.
- Identify growth opportunities within residential HVAC sales and develop market-specific strategies.
- Oversee lead generation efforts and sales pipeline management to maximize conversion rates.
Performance Management & KPI Achievement:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, average deal size, and revenue per lead.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to ensure sales targets are consistently met or exceeded.
Process Optimization & Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Standardize and maintain consistent sales processes across all regions to align with business objectives.
- Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service to optimize lead flow, customer experience, and sales performance.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize CRM, sales analytics, and market research to refine strategies and make informed decisions.
- Evaluate customer feedback, competitor trends, and regional market dynamics to drive innovation in sales techniques.
Financial Oversight & Goal Setting:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute financial targets for HVAC sales.
- Implement action plans to meet and exceed revenue, profit, and efficiency goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of sales management experience in the home service industry, preferably HVAC.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing and managing high-performing sales teams.
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in CRM platforms (ServiceTitan preferred) and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience with NexStar sales training methodology is a plus.
Work Environment & Travel
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment with regular site visits.
- Up to 50% travel required for meetings, training, and market visits (via car or air travel).
