Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling sheet metal duct and components for HVAC systems. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication:
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to create ducts, fittings, and other HVAC components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as brakes, shears, and roll formers, etc...
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate components.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in HVAC sheet metal fabrication, preferably in residential settings. Three to five years of experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Skilled in the use of sheet metal fabrication tools and machinery.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, airflow dynamics, and material properties.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to lift up to 70lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks.
- Basic math skills to calculate measurements and angles
- Good knowledge of SMACNA guidelines and mechanical code requirements for sheet metal fabrication.
