We are excited to offer this new position as a Crisis Hotline Specialist Lenape Valley Foundation’s 988 Lifeline Program! The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a 24/7 program that provides free and confidential support to people in suicide or emotional distress. It is comprised of a national network of over 200 local crisis centers, of which Lenape Valley Foundation is proud to be a part. This is a great opportunity for new graduates or master level candidates looking to gain valuable experience in mental health and crisis services.

What You Offer:
- Bachelor’s Degree with major coursework in psychology, sociology, social work, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, nursing, counseling or education.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to perform the physical requirement of the job description, with or without accommodation
What You’ll Do:
- Answer all incoming 988 Lifeline and Lenape Crisis hotline calls to assess caller safety, treatment, and/or referral needs.
- Utilize limited clinical intervention skills to engage callers
- Actively engage with people at risk to provide support and assistance in the least restrictive setting.
- Facilitate a warm hand off to crisis workers or emergency medical services.
- Serve as a professional resource for hospital and community treatment providers
- Complete all required documentation
