What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatrist Assistant II position at LENAPE VALLEY FOUNDATION?
As a Psychiatric Assistant II, you will have to opportunity to support the doctors who provide critical mental heath services for the Bucks County Community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in the mental health field! This is a full time position, 9-5 Monday-Friday. You will be based in our Doylestown offices.

What You Offer:
- Three or more years' experience in a medical setting OR Bachelor’s degree
- Comfortable with spending most of the day on the phone

What You'll Do:
- Provide support/train Psychiatrist Assistant I
- Provide support/train/help prescribers navigate workflows
- Retrieve voicemails, receive incoming calls and handle them in a timely manner; return client calls in a timely manner
- Be the direct contact for scheduling for prescribers
- Complete prior authorizations for OP/ACT/PHP.
- Schedule and input appointments in Electronic Health Record
- Complete referrals on behalf of the prescribers
- Obtain releases of information (ROI).
- Draft letters or correspondence requested from prescribers.
- Retrieve/Fax/Send via mail forms pertaining to clients for prescribers.
- Schedule all OP medication checks and psychiatric evaluations.
- Meet with patients on-site who have prescriber-related inquiries, upon the request of reception and other LVF staff.
- Manage the Refill Clinic and educate clients on refill policy.
