What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Aide | Personal Care Assistant position at LENAPE VALLEY FOUNDATION?
Shifts Available:
- Part-Time
- Sunday 12am - 8am
- Saturday | Sunday 8am - 4pm
- Part-Time
- Overnight availability preferred
What You'll Do:
- Enhance the quality of life for our residents while helping them work toward their recovery goals
- Guide, support and assist residents in activities of daily living skills, personal hygiene, problem solving skills, financial management, independence and other skills as needed
- Meet with residents individually and in groups for planning and problem solving related to personal, interpersonal, recreational, and activities of daily living.
- Participate in development of Individual Resident Rehabilitation Recovery Service Plan and team meetings
- Consistently observe and be prepared to respond to resident’s issues and emergencies appropriately.
- Prepare resident notes and maintain resident records.
- Provide transportation and supervision for our residents as they integrate back into the community
- Provide minimal hands on care as needed

What You Offer:
- Willingness to complete paid personal care training or one of the following:
- CNA Certification
- Home Health Aide Certification
- Patient Care Technician Certification
- 12 credits in nursing
- Two years experience in caregiving
- Two years’ experience in mental health field preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Computer proficiency
- Experience using Electronic Health Records strongly preferred
- Complete a pre-employment physical and PPD screen
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job description, with or without accommodation
