General Statement of Duties:
This is a gender specific position.
Supervision Received: Work is performed under the general supervision of the Drug Testing Facility Coordinator or Court Administrator/Magistrate.
Supervision Exercised: None
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: An employee in this class may be called upon to do any or all of the following: These examples do not include all of the tasks which an employee may be expected to perform.
· Perform health screening on clients before they enter the office.
· Upon client arrival, request identification and a color card (if applicable) and accurately log information on log sheet and place label on specimen cup.
· Collect money, if applicable.
· Observe client providing sample - SAME GENDER.
· Collect samples according to Michigan Association of Treatment Court Professionals.
· Enter clients screening results into applicable word processing or spreadsheet software.
· May be required to testify in a court of law regarding job duties and chain of custody.
· Responsible for completing chain of custody forms in front of clients.
· Perform related work as required.
Desirable Education, Experience and/or Qualifications: An employee in this class, upon appointment should have the equivalent of the following training, qualifications and/or experience.
· High school graduation or GED equivalent.
· Computer skills are necessary to effectively utilize word processing, spreadsheet and accounting software systems and the ability to be trained on a specific software program.
· Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
· Training will be provided by the Drug Testing Coordinator or other Drug Testing Monitors.
Working Conditions and Physical Abilities:
· Work is primarily indoors and request sitting for extended periods.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
· Must be able to hear and speak over the phone and on one-on-one communication needs.
· Must be able to see and notice the needs of clients.
