We are seeking a qualified Preschool Teacher to join our team at Tecumseh Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment that fosters growth in literacy, language, mathematics, science, social, and motor skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individual and group activities to promote cognitive and physical development in preschool-age children.
- Develop and use instructional materials suitable for a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
- Create an awareness of self-worth and social responsibility in each child.
- Encourage creative expression through art, music, movement, and play.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment that promotes social and emotional well-being.
- Provide individualized instruction to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Communicate regularly with parents and stakeholders to ensure collaboration and parent participation.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and other events as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in elementary education or CDA.
- High moral character, integrity, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working in a licensed daycare/preschool program.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
