Housekeeping Supervisor

Description

Job Summary:
Performs housekeeping and cleaning activities within well established guidelines and assigned areas and shift(s) to ensure that quality standards, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.

Responsibilities: 

•  Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the interior of the campus maintaining an organized and 
efficient housekeeping operation.
•  Supervises the day-to-day activities of housekeeping staff.
•  Trains associates on proper cleaning techniques.
•  Checks quality of work performed and makes appropriate corrections and changes as necessary.
•  Ensure all associates follow safety rules and procedures. Takes corrective action where required to improve safety of work areas.
•  Reports equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to manager in a timely fashion.
•  Performs all housekeeping duties necessary.
•  Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms including sinks, tubs, floors, and commodes.
•  Responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitizing of resident room furniture, as well as sitting room and dining room furniture.
•  Removes and disposes of trash.
•  Interacts appropriately with residents, client, other personnel, supervisors, and the public.
•  Responds to customer preferences, complies with industry and federal and state guidelines, and meets the needs of residents.
 

Qualifications

Education and experience required:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of all floor care machinery
• Some experience in a Health Care setting
• At least 6 mons of leadership experience in a hospital or senior living setting

Schedule:  Monday-Wednesday 3:00pm-11:30pm, Saturday-Sunday 1:00pm-9:30pm
