JOB SUMMARY: The Plant and Grounds Coordinator is a hands on position that is responsible for general property maintenance, including snow removal, minor repairs, and addressing facility issues. Key tasks include ensuring safety, moving equipment, and troubleshooting problems. Additional duties may involve cleaning, setting up for events, and supporting other departments as needed. Flexibility and adaptability to various tasks are essential.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Plow, sand, and salt properties as needed.
- Remove snow from walkways using snow shovels and spread snow-melting chemicals.
- Parking lot repair as needed.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Report all facility issues not immediately repairable to the Facilities Manager.
- When appropriate, maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines.
- Identify abnormalities and repairs required within the building and advise the supervisors accordingly.
- Fabrication of various jigs and fixtures.
- Compliance with all state regulations.
- Follow company safety policies and safe work practices.
- Move heavy equipment and supplies.
- Identify and repair potential safety hazards/concerns.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
- Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or using hand trucks.
- Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, and trash receptacles to prepare facilities for company events and meetings.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules.
- Interface with all departments to ensure all equipment is operating correctly to avoid disruption of service/production.
- Understand and comply with Lenco safety and environmental policies.
- Other duties as assigned and requested by management to meet the ongoing needs of the Company.
- Assists the Maintenance Manager if necessary.
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience as a Technician or Mechanic.
- Production machinery experience.
- Aptitude with using hand and power tools.
- Use of cleaning/maintenance equipment.
- Use of groundskeeping equipment.
- Forklift operation.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Forklift Operator Certification.
- Hoisting and Rigging Certification.
- Valid Driver License.
