Summary
We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team at Lend-A-Hand Services. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with varying needs, assisting them in daily activities while fostering their independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Provide socialization opportunities and encourage participation in recreational activities.
- Support clients in managing their care plans and documentation of services provided.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining client confidentiality.
- Assist clients with transportation to appointments and community outings.
- Recognize and respond to the unique needs of individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health disorders.
Requirements
WE WILL TRAIN!!
- Experience in direct support or caregiving roles preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and care plan development.
- Ability to lift heavy objects as needed for client assistance.
- First aid certification is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
