SUMMARY:
The Compliance Associate will ensure that the company’s actions meet the standards of the state and federal laws and regulations. The Compliance Associate is responsible for ensuring that the Company is compliant not only with federal and state laws, but also with the company policies and procedures.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain good working relationship with Branch Operations and serve as a liaison between Compliance and Operations
- Assist in the development, updating and implementation of procedures and processes to minimize compliance risks
- Execute various compliance reviews, as assigned, and communicate the findings and recommendations to various levels of management
- Prepare formal written reports and track any issues to completion. Complete and maintain adequate work papers to support findings
- Other duties as assigned
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- 2 years of Financial Services experience

- Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management
- Ability to demonstrate and be recognized as having strong knowledge
- Independent thinker with analytical skills
- Good working knowledge of standard software applications such as Microsoft Office
- Must be independent and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent years of related experience
- In-depth compliance knowledge of one or more of the following: BSA/AML, lending, privacy, fair lending or compliance risk management
- Operational and regulatory knowledge of financial institutions (banks, loan companies, finance companies preferred)
COMPENSATION:
- The salary range for this position is $21.74 to $27.17 per hour , based on the specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Experience of the selected candidate.
- This position is eligible for Semi Annual Incentive compensation based on individual and company performance guidelines.
