HR Admin Support
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months with strong possibility for extension
Location: Seatle, Washington (with occasional travel)
Summary of Role:
The HR Admin role will support Fleet Planning team with onboarding of Mariners including ensuring all mariners have appropriate qualifications for the positions filled.
This is primarily an onsite role with occasional travel to other locations. Must be available/on-call after hours for emergency crew requests.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Fleet Planners, working with minimal supervision. Assure that the vessel is crewed with qualified, physically fit, and able mariners for all needed positions.
- Verify that all crew documents and credentials, training, medical and drug free requirements are valid and current.
- Process all onboarding paperwork and documents.
- Prepare and maintain integrity of all personnel records in coordination with other company departments.
- Identify discrepancies and expirations of personnel qualification.
- Provide high quality customer service and direct communication regarding assignments for mariners.
- Interacts with union hiring halls to dispatch mariners as required.
- Assist with standardization and streamlining of departmental processes and training.
- Provide reports on manpower, work utilization and assignments as required.
- Other admin duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma with 1 years of admin experience or Associates/Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Experience with programs such as Filenet, NS5, Smartsheets, Anderson-Kelly web portal, SIU, AMO and USCG web portals.
- 1 years of marine crewing operations experience (preferred)
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Ability to apply skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goalsand objectives.
- Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.
- Must be available/on-call after hours for emergency crew requests.
- May require travel to multiple locations.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
