We are seeking a Regulatory Reporting Data Analyst to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. This role involves analyzing data used in the submission of regulatory reports to clients, with a primary focus on the preparation of data analysis and presentation of results to management. Core Responsibilities
- Analyze end-to-end data flows and maintain large data sets related to data elements, reports, schedules, critical data elements, and adjustments performed in financial and regulatory reporting. Identify inefficiencies, inaccuracies, and control issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis of identified issues and recommend process/control modifications to improve the accuracy and quality of information used for regulatory and financial reporting.
- Work with large lists of meta data, including critical data elements, data dictionaries, and platforms that maintain this data. Coordinate with platform owners to ensure content is accurate and up to date.
- Manage your own workload, planning and communicating clearly, with regular escalation of risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID).
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams such as Operations, Business Finance, and Financial Reporting to support legal entity and regulatory reporting.
- Contribute valuable insights and strategic recommendations to various teams across the firm, working on initiatives that impact financial and regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate with change teams to implement strategic projects impacting reporting.
- 3-7 years of experience in banking, preferably with experience in regulatory reporting in a global investment bank.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of pivot tables and other analytical functions.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and time management.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of accounting within a banking context, with a preference for experience in regulatory reporting for CFOs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strict reporting deadlines.
- Familiarity with Excel, other MS tools, and database/data warehouse management.
- Basic knowledge of banking products (loans, trading assets, deposits, etc.), balance sheet line items, and general accounting/reporting requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Higher-level user of Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with other data analytics tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of general ledgers (e.g., SAP) and banking products.
- Previous experience at an accounting firm or within accounting/finance at a financial institution is preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously with guidance/direction on projects.
Salary : $50 - $53
