Design Assistant Summary:

The position provides administrative support to the design center and division through a variety of responsibilities. The position requires to be detail oriented, self-sufficient, and have good communication skills. Must be able to multi-task to meet cut-off dates.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule homeowner design appointments. This requires professional phone etiquette.
  • Greet lobby guests and business assocites in a friendly, polite and professional manner.
  • Manage new sales, cut-off dates, designer schedule.
  • Prepare all audits and homebuyer files.
  • Maintain design center in a clean, organized and professional manner.
  • Ordering, securing, and storing of office supplies for the entire office.
  • Manage all general office equipment needs.
  • Provide assistance to design center manager and designers in all functions.
  • Answer all incoming telephone calls and inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Two years of customer service experience, preferably with a homebuilder
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Must possess professional attitude to represent company in a positive manner
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required.
  • Follow directions from a supervisor.
  • Interact well with co-workers and our customers
  • Understand and follow work rules and procedures
  • Accept constructive criticism.
  • Team player

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office supplies and materials weighing twenty-five (25) pounds or less. Finger dexterity required to operate a computer keyboard, calculator and telephone equipment.

The *median base compensation for this position is estimated to be $27.60/annual, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors including employee qualifications, geographic location, and operational considerations. Note: *The median amount may be greater or less than the average salary.
