The Lead Software Engineer, ServiceNow reports directly to the Engineering Manager. As a Lead Software Engineer, ServiceNow, you would be responsible for directing a team of ServiceNow developers of all experience levels in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging. This is also a hands-on role where you will also be expected to be configuring, developing, testing, and implementing ServiceNow for Lennar. Responsibilities include working closely with the product management team to ensure we deliver the best user experiences. As a Lead Software Engineer, ServiceNow, you will be a core player and expected to build and grow the skillsets of the more junior Engineers.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
- Recognized role model and provide technical guidance to Associate ServiceNow developers.
- Work closely with Business Analysts / Product owners to understand and document the business outcomes and functional requirements and lead the design of complex, effective ServiceNow solutions that align with those needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead the implementation of ServiceNow solutions that align with the designed requirements and ensure solutions meet industry best practices. Develop and maintain advanced scripts, business rules, and client scripts.
- Analyze platform performance, design optimization strategies, and implement performance and security improvement configurations, contributing to the overall stability, efficiency, and security of ServiceNow solutions.
- Leads implementation efforts within their area of expertise.
- Develops / implements new configurations and custom applications for ServiceNow.
- Establishes priorities aligned with business strategy, guides others within area of expertise.
- Demonstrates effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Defines options, risks and impact of changes in the business.
- Influences / drives accountability within teams.
