Aircraft Operations:
- Assume responsibility for the safety and operation of the aircraft during all phases of flight, including takeoff, cruising, and landing.
- Ensure that the aircraft is operated in accordance with all applicable aviation laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Monitor and assess weather conditions, flight plans, and operational risks to determine the safest course of action.
- Take corrective measures as necessary to ensure flight safety, including responding to in-flight emergencies.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Lead and direct the flight crew, ensuring clear communication and coordination throughout the flight.
- Provide guidance and direction to other crew members, including co-Captains and cabin crew, to maintain smooth operations and ensure safety standards are met.
- Review flight plans, routes, and weather information prior to departure.
- Make decisions regarding alternate flight plans in response to changing weather, air traffic control directives, or other situational factors.
- Ensure the well-being of passengers and cargo by overseeing secure loading, unloading, and ensuring compliance with safety measures.
- Handle any in-flight issues involving passengers, ensuring a professional and safe resolution.
- Complete necessary post-flight documentation, including logs, reports, and evaluations of flight performance.
- Communicate with ground operations and management regarding any issues or concerns that arose during the flight.
Licensing & Certifications:
- Must hold a valid FAA Airline Transport Captain (ATP) Certificate (or equivalent in other jurisdictions).
- Valid First-Class Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 12 years of flight experience as a Captain, with a significant portion of that experience in multi-engine land aircraft.
- Experience in conducting international and cross-country flights is highly preferred.
- Strong decision-making ability, especially in high-pressure situations.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, flight procedures, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies and adverse conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, and be available for on-call duties as needed.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in varying environmental conditions.
