The IT Strategic Sourcing Specialist supports the Sourcing, Procurement, and Vendor Management team and reports to a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager or Lead. This role assists with sourcing activities and contract support across various Information Technology categories, such as application development, enterprise software, consulting services, hardware, telecommunications, and cloud services. The Specialist will help gather business requirements, support supplier evaluations, and participate in efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and process efficiency. This is a developmental role where the Specialist will learn to analyze spending data, identify sourcing opportunities, and contribute to contract reviews and vendor engagement under the guidance of senior team members. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in building foundational experience in IT procurement and vendor management.
Your Responsibilities On The Team
This is mainly a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to operate computer equipment, speak, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

Your Responsibilities On The Team
- Assist with reviewing IT contract documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Help coordinate contract intake and routing processes between internal teams and vendors.
- Support the issuance and evaluation of RFPs, RFIs, and other sourcing events.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather basic business and technical requirements for sourcing needs.
- Track vendor performance issues and escalate concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Maintain sourcing records and documentation in company systems.
- Learn to interpret pricing proposals and vendor quotes.
- Help identify cost-saving opportunities by supporting spend analysis and market research.
- Attend team meetings and participate in process improvement discussions.
- 1–2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor management (internships or academic project experience welcome).
- Basic understanding of IT categories such as software, hardware, and services preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or related field.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools; experience with procurement or contract systems is a plus.
