What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Planner position at Lennon Smith Souleret Engineering?
LSSE Civil Engineers and Surveyors (Established 1985), a dynamic and growing 170-person civil engineering firm serving over 180 regional municipal clients, water and sewer authorities, private development, industry, and utilities is accepting applications from motivated Land Planners for one of our western PA offices.
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in land planning, landscape architecture, or related field
- AICP is required

5 years’ experience in land development entitlement and/or land use entitlement process, including:
- Review potential sites and draft concept plans.
- Review and develop plans that meet Subdivision and Land Development codes and regulations.
- Review and develop plans that meet Zoning ordinances.
- Draft ordinances for subdivision and land developments
- Prepare /assist in preparing comprehensive plans.
- Assist zoning officer / experience as a zoning officer.
- Interpret Surveys (topo, wetland)
- Meet and coordinate with government staff.
- Develop preliminary plans.
- Submit plans for approvals at Planning Commissions and City Council, utilities and other authorities.
- Attending public meetings
