Job Description:
This analyst leads procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. The planner is also responsible for the key metrics of network and facing fill rates, stockouts, inventory turns, and inventory working capital.
The base salary range for this position is $92,800 to $121,800 and will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and education.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide consultative guidance on the most complex aspects of developing inventory deployment plans. Monitor and adjust deployment plans based on real-time fluctuation.
- Manage balancing of inventory of new, active, and phase-out items.
- Serve as a point of escalation to planners for challenging deployment and inventory balancing issues, providing guidance and support to team members to resolve challenges effectively.
- Serve as a Lead in reviewing, analyzing, and communicating metrics to drive outcomes and proactively mitigate risks
- Lead and take ownership of special projects, such as improvements and streamlining processes.
- Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency and minimize cost.
- Work with product management, sales, marketing and finance to validate inventory assortment and working capital objectives.
- Enhance product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans.
- Maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating and demand forecasting.
- Coordinate with supply and demand planning to update key inventory parameters.
- Apply analytic methods and tools to understand, predict or control logistics operations and processes.
- Compute reporting metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, order fulfillment rates and inventory turns.
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience.

- Statistical analysis
- Inventory policy development
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical, quality improvement, and problem-solving skills
- Deep understanding of the full supply chain and the impact of product cycles on inventory targets
- Strong presentation and leadership skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional work
- Expert knowledge of inventory optimization tools and Microsoft applications
- Expert understanding of advanced planning tools, preferably SAP APO.
- ASCM-CPIM is preferred but not required
