Job Description

The individual in this role will load truck and drive between company facilities.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Loads truck properly, secures freight to prevent movement, and assists with unloading.
• Transports product safely.
• Assists with gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications.
• Completes written and computerized documentation.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 3 years of related experience. Requires CDL license. Requires forklift certification.Familiar with local transportation routes and state and local driving requirements. Valid driver’s license with good driving record. Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift. Thorough knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures including handling exceptions. Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability. Able to use company databases or other IT applications. Effective verbal communication skills. May provide work leadership to lower level employees. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
