What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafeteria Helper (1 Position) position at Lennox School District?
DEFINITION:
Helps to prepare and serve a variety of foods in large quantities and assists in the maintenance of a school cafeteria and food program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Food Handler Certificate required (or obtain within 60 days of hire)
• Knowledge of methods of preparing and serving large quantities of food
• One year of experience in preparing large quantities of food in school cafeteria setting and/or the private sector
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to read food labels, preparation procedures, & safety guidelines in English
• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience desirable
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Understanding of H.A.C.C.P. procedures and food safety
• Able to multitask at fast pace environment
