The Cosmetology Support Specialist will provide support to the Cosmetology Program Chair, Director of Cosmetology Programs, and the instructors who teach in the assigned areas. The Support Specialist will record all program enrollments, withdrawals, and transfers so that the Program Chair may report these items to the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Associate degree from a regionally accredited college or at least 5 years work experience as an office assistant is required Experience in a Cosmetology environment a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and the use of other office equipment to include fax machine, photocopier, calculator, scanner, and videoconferencing and telephone systems Excellent human relations, communications and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to maintain a high level of confidentialityWorking Conditions: Typical office environment Frequently sitting at a desk or workstation using a telephone, computer, keyboard, and mouse; some standing and walking Must be able to lift and move 35 pounds or more Ability to participate in fund-raising events with long-term exposure to heat and cold Evening, weekend, and on campus/off campus sites work schedule may be required
