Continuing Education Human Resource Development classes aid unemployed or underemployed students in searching and applying for employment, learning employability skills and/or basic computer skills. Under general supervision, the purpose of this position is to provide a comprehensive Human Resources Development (HRD) instructional program committed to quality teaching and successful student achievement. Employees in this classification will be responsible for providing classroom instruction; administering tests; evaluating student performance and maintaining accurate documentation as required by state standards.This position will remain open until filled.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Degree, certification, and/or NC licensure in a vocational and/or life skills subject area from a regionally accredited institution preferred Advanced knowledge of computer applications including: Microsoft Word, Excel, use of various Internet browsers, email use and features, Internet job searching and completing applications online Candidate with teaching experience is preferred Must have knowledge of employability, interview, and resume writing skills and the ability to work with diverse populations Candidate must be able to develop lessons/course syllabus and maintain attendance time sheets and rosters Candidate should possess effective written and oral communication skills, and be able to serve individuals from all socio-economic levels and ethnic groupsWorking Conditions Hours would be based on needs of student Candidate must be willing to work days or nights as needed
