We are looking to hire Business Transformation Consultants. Our BTC’s are our most senior experts and advisors to our customers. They understand how to translate business problems into technical requirements, they understand the art of the possible and how that is balanced with real world pragmatism. The BTC applies business insights, knowledge of vertical markets along with a deep understanding of the technologies that will drive change over the medium to long term. The BTC will develop solutions for their respective geography or vertical, leveraging Lenovo’s world class hardware, software and services whilst also engaging 3rd party technologies and or services companies to enable our clients to achieve their strategic goals.
The ideal candidate will have;
- Extensive experience in business consulting to large, international and or complex organisations.
- An existing network of contacts both from a customer and industry perspective
- A passion for technology and possess a deep understanding of horizontal and/or vertical technologies, this might include AI, VDI, Computer Vision, Big Data, 5G etc. Or you may have a deep understanding of Industry 4.0, Financial services, Manufacturing, Retail or Telco verticals
- You will understand and be able to articulate your vision and strategy around how technology can enable our customers to succeed. From Edge to Cloud you will be a trusted advisor to our customers helping them navigate through their business transformation journey.
- You will have excellent presentation and communication skills, you will be a team player, adept at working across geographies in a matrix organization
- You will have a positive attitude, you will embrace ambiguity and help Lenovo transition into a solutions led future.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Drive Lenovo consulting growth in their key markets through a combination of evangelism, public speaking and thought leadership. BTC’s are great communicators and know what to ask and when to ask it, they open up solution selling opportunities for our Global Account Managers while solving customer business needs and issues. They are up to date on technologies and the scope of Lenovo's offerings at a high level but are comfortable enough to know what SMEs to bring in at the right time.
Additional Responsibilities
Conduct presentations online and in-person to existing and prospective clients.
Conduct client interviews to collect detailed information and to assist in the calculation of TCO and ROI
Coordinate meetings, teleconferences, and proactive communications with clients to help identify new opportunities
Participate and lead customer workshops, seminars, conferences as necessary.
Create comprehensive and holistic solutions utilizing Lenovo and partner resources to deliver unified solution proposals.
Lead technical architecture & engineering efforts with customers as they pertain to your domain areas of expertise.
Travel estimate is ~25% (post COVID19)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or ten years or more of IT sales or solution architecture experience
15 years of industry experience and 5 years of experience in a role similar to CTO, CIO, Senior technology Engineering or Product Development will be considered in lieu of degree.
Other Required Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of technology solutions, management consulting and business outcome modeling
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills including consulting skills
Strong Oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to conduct conversations with C-Level individuals as well as lines of business executives relating Lenovo technology solutions to their business issues
Demonstrated ability to train a portion of company’s sellers regarding Lenovo trends, products and services and how to relate these to our customers problems
