INFORMATION:
The Lenox Public Schools seeks a full-time School Adjustment Counselor from 2/10/25-6/17/25.
Duties may include:
● Preparing psycho-social evaluations & developmental histories of students for Team Meetings
● Evaluate the need for & providing counseling to students & parents
● Maximizing parental participation in the implementation of student educational programs
● Provide consultation with staff regarding psych-social needs of students
● Collaborate with community agencies & organizations
● Provide case management of clinical services
● Ability to provide leadership in crisis intervention and serve as an active member of the In-School Crisis
Team
● Providing social skills training for students
● Essential skills needed include:
● excellent verbal and written skills
● positive communication abilities
● excellent organizational and time-management skills
Master's Degree in area of social work and MA DESE School Adjustment Counselor license required.
School-based experience and clinical experience are desirable. Must be able to consult with allied professionals
and work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team to devise appropriate service plans for
referred students and their families as necessary.
