In conjunction with and in support of the Deputy Commissioner for Intergovernmental and Legislative Affairs while working closely with senior leadership across the Department of Social Services (DSS) /Human Resources Administration (HRA) and Department of Homeless Services (DHS), the Executive Director conceptualizes and executes political and community relations strategies that help to advance DHS’ core mission.

- Strategize, and develop plans to increase community support of DSS/DHS initiatives
- Ensure the development of a robust community and governmental partnerships.
- Manage and execute a best practice approach in planning, delivering, and evaluating
- Provide guidance for the planning and development of evaluation initiatives to be executed;
new DHS shelter sittings and policies, and other poverty and homelessness reduction initiatives.
- Review and evaluate all metrics and milestones in outreach evaluation reports to ensure uniformity

- Manage and continually assess the shelter notification strategy for each new site to be opened

Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree and four (4) years full-time experience at the executive level in a large governmental agency, business firm, civic or community organization; or
- Education and/or experience equivalent to "1" above. However, all candidates must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience as described in "1" above.
