The Associate Director works closely with the Director to foster a positive environment and a healthy work culture while executing the department’s strategic plan.
Direct Reports
Fitness, Intramurals, Club Sports, Aquatics and Outdoors (anticipated)
This role demands strong interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to learning new skills, and the flexibility to assist with department functions beyond primary responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation or related field. Three to five years experience in administering IM program, risk management in regards to travel, and teaching non-credit courses. One to three years experience in university setting.
Preferred Education And Experience
Master’s degree in Campus Recreation or related field. 3-5 years experience with supervision of professional staff in the following areas: competitive sports, fitness, aquatics.
