Position Summary
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer works to design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
Principal Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with cloud services.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Implement and manage Azure security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance.
- Automate cloud operations using tools such as Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and PowerShell.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues, providing support to internal teams and clients.
- Stay up to date with the latest Azure features, services, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with project managers in development of detailed project plans.
- Produce technical documentation including work instructions, and installation qualifications.
- Assistance with issues escalated from downstream support teams
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired.
- Minimum of 3 years cloud engineering with focus on Microsoft Azure
- Strong understanding of Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are a plus.
- Proficient with productivity tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
