Job Summary
The Corporate EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Manager is part of the Corporate HR TEAM responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and overseeing company-wide safety programs across all US divisions to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and corporate standards for this global manufacturing company. This role primary responsibilities will be Enterprise-wide Workers' Compensation Process Management and Manufacturing EHS to minimize risk, prevent workplace injuries, and drive a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Workers' Compensation program, including claim management, return-to-work programs, and collaboration with insurance carriers.
- Conduct thorough accident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee safety training programs, ensuring employees at all levels are trained on proper workplace safety protocols.
- Partner with divisional HR and operations teams to monitor injury trends and develop strategies to mitigate workplace hazards.
- Conduct workplace safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with hazardous material handling, PPE programs, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and machine safeguarding protocols.
- Collaborate with manufacturing leadership to drive continuous improvement in ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and process safety.
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agency inspections, reporting, and compliance documentation.
- Track, analyze, and report safety performance metrics, providing recommendations to senior leadership.
- Promote a proactive safety-first culture across all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Strong experience managing workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
- 5 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
- Proven ability to lead incident investigations and implement corrective/preventative actions.
- Experience with safety management systems and risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and DOT.
- OSHA training certification (strongly preferred).
- Experience in ergonomics program development and workers' compensation management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 50% as required.
