We are seeking a Director of Global Compensation to join our growing Total Rewards team and drive our global compensation strategy.
The Director of Global Compensation will oversee the development, implementation, and management of Indeed’s global compensation programs. This strategic role requires expertise in compensation design, global pay structures, market analysis, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals, talent retention, and competitiveness in the market. You will partner closely with senior leadership, People business partners, and other key relevant parties to create comprehensive compensation strategies that attract, sustain, and motivate top talent across all regions.
Responsibilities
US Remote 170,000 - 240,000 USD per year
NYC Metro Area 190,000 - 266,000 USD per year
SF Bay Area 200,000 - 280,000 USD per year

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. - Oversee the development and execution of global compensation strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals, market trends, and industry best practices.
- Implement global pay structures, including base salary, bonuses, and incentives, to help business needs and ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to assess compensation competitiveness and recommend adjustments to remain comparative and equitable in all markets/
- Partner with senior leadership, People teams, and business leaders to give guidance and help with compensation-related matters. Act as a credible advisor on complex compensation issues and initiatives.
- Develop clear communication strategies for the rollout and ongoing education of compensation programs for employees at all levels.
- Partner with People business partners to align compensation programs with performance management processes, ensuring that reward structures drive high performance and employee engagement.
- Drive the evolution of the company’s compensation philosophy and programs, incorporating data-driven insights and ensuring consistency across all regions.
- Manage and mentor a team of compensation professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring continuous development within the team.
- 10 years of experience in compensation, with an exceptional focus on global compensation strategy and program design.
- Proven experience leading and implementing global compensation programs in a complex, multinational organization.
- In-depth knowledge of compensation theory, practices, and market trends, including base pay, incentive compensation, equity compensation, sales compensation, and benefits.
- Excellent knowledge of global compensation regulations and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and give actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage relevant parties at all levels.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing compensation teams.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage many priorities and deadlines.
