Water Technologies is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to focus on New Product Development (NPD) projects. The Embedded Software Engineer will work cross-functionally to deliver through the design, development, and testing of proprietary electronic controls for hydronic heating and water heating systems from concept to acceptance within the Heating & Hot Water Solutions (HHWS) business unit.
Required Skills
Firmware: Proficient in C , Qt and Embedded Linux development. Familiar with Yocto project, BitBake recipes and algorithms development (PID, cryptography).
Hardware: Experience with ADC, DAC, SPI Bus, I2C Bus and reading schematics and PCBs
Communications: Experience with RS-485, Modbus, CAN Bus. Familiarity with Ethernet/IP, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Cellular; BACnet a plus, MQTT.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics and Communications, Software Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering.
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
- 7 years of experience contributing and leading engineering development projects.
- Extensive experience with embedded Linux development
- Experience with version control using Git & GitHub
- Working knowledge in industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Cellular
- Familiarity with Schematic design and PCB layout
- Excellent interpersonal skills, maintain strong working relationship with all internal groups
- Proficient in business applications - MS office, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Ability to travel – up to 5%
Desired Experience
- 5 years of leading embedded development projects.
- E xperience with ARM, Microchip and FPGA.
- Experience with developing embedded application on Linux environment.
- Qt5 Framework for GUI and Boot to Qt
- Familiarity with Yocto project, BitBake recipes
- Familiarity with cloud communication such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning a plus

Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
