Reporting to the Grand Rapids Site Leader, the EHS / QA Specialist will have the ability to build cross functional relationships among Trojan, Veralto and outside agencies.
Some travel will be required for Benchmarking and Kaizen activities at other Trojan or Veralto facilities.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.

In This Role, a Typical Day Will Look Like
EHS
- Ensures compliance with Trojan Technologies / Veralto policies and procedures, along with all Federal, State and local government EHS regulations. This includes written programs, record keeping, reports, inspections, monitoring, testing, and training per guidelines.
- Creates and delivers environment, health and safety training to ensure employee’s knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety and environmental regulations pertaining to the safe operation of the facility.
- Conduct regular walk-throughs of the facility to monitor behaviors, activities and conditions to coach and mentor associates.
- Review proposed new chemicals, processes, equipment, machinery, etc. with the use of the Management of Change process.
- Coordinate incident investigations with effective root cause investigation and counter measure implementation.
- Responsible for Worker Compensation claims management; partnering with Leaders on all return to work & modified work programs to ensure successful & safe integration of Associates in the workplace
- Develops and executes actions to continuously improve the maturity of the EHS Program
- Develops, implements and coordinates all Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomic assessments
- Complete routine EHS reports as directed by manager
- Complete risk assessments for jobs where duties, location, and/or equipment changes occur.
- Participates in daily management and KPI reviews to provide support and consolidate Veralto Enterprise System activities across the plant.
- Manage hazardous waste management program: documents, inspections, handling, storage and disposal.
- Oversees emergency and response activities in the event of an emergency
- Collect information, complete, and submit regulatory required environmental reports
- Prepare any non-compliance notification for regulatory agencies and oversee corrective measures prescribed for non-compliance issues.
- Continuous improvement of EHS by benchmarking industry best practices, and keeping abreast of changing legislation
- In addition to the primary responsibilities, the role may also involve supporting other functions such as quality assurance
- Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a technical discipline (Mechanical/Electrical).
- 3 years of EHS experience
- Strong understanding of OSHA Regulations and Workers Compensation
- Strong problem solving skills, troubleshooting ability, with experience in a variety of manufacturing processes
