Position Overview
With the guidance of the VP of Operations, the Field Operations Manager is responsible for management of the Field Service Managers and all external Field Operations activities to ensure effective, sustainable and profitable performance at each location. This position drives operational excellence in support of strategic planning and continuously analyzes and manages operational metrics to support growth and alignment of organizational priorities and objectives. This position also drives effectiveness and efficiency through corporate initiatives to ensure a high performance organization, and will be a high visibility leader across the organization.

Position Overview

Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead Field Service Managers at all company locations, and drive them to achieve maximum levels of efficiency and productivity and to consistently exceed customer expectations.
- Facilitate process improvement initiatives across the Operations Division.
- Develop and implement performance objectives and countermeasures to ensure consistent achievement of operational goals with a strong focus on process orientation.
- Manage operating costs and constantly seek ways to improve operating methods, safe operations, procedures and results.
- Develop and maintain positive and professional working relationships with departmental staff as well as with other departments; practice sound leadership methods as a way to build good morale and teamwork.
- Participate cross-functionally in strategic initiatives, planning and policy deployment.
- Manage and develop organizational talent to position organization for growth and succession planning.
- Manage the Operations division in specific reference to staffing, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and performance.
- Responsible for development and management of annual budgets.
- Monitor performance goals to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded.
- Review financial statements, activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
- Identify unsafe operations and practices; Establish safety procedures and environmental regulations for employees.
- Provide timely and thorough resolution of customer complaints and issues.
- Develop positive, long term relationships with customer base and seek to capitalize on repeat business.
- Utilize technical training resources to ensure proficiency of field service technicians and to maintain compliance with manufacturers’ technical requirements.
- Minimum 5 years operations/sales management experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in material handling industry preferred
- Four year college degree preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
