We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer 1 to join our Loxley, AL team! Come join us!
Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- The successful candidate will participate in assisting our Geotechnical and CMT departments in both the field and office.
- Field roles may include but not limited to performing geotechnical drill monitoring, soil/rock sample logging, water/GW sampling, foundation evaluations, reporting, and any other engineering work assigned to them.
- Graduate with BS in civil engineering with soils focus
- Entry and up to 2 levels professional experience, preferably with a geotechnical consulting firm
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in English
- Ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans
- Experience in Construction Materials Testing is desirable
- Preference given to candidates holding an EIT– Engineering-in-Training or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Ability to use Microsoft Suite
- Fluent in Software programs of various types
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to be outdoors or on your feet for an extended period of time
- Ability to travel, up to 50% of the time
- Personable
- Ability to positively take constructive criticism
